# Password

The Password Page is a special page that appears when your store is password-protected, typically used during the pre-launch phase of your store or when you want to restrict access to your site. This page displays a password entry form and an email signup form, allowing visitors to either enter the password to access your store or sign up to be notified when your store launches. The Password Page is the first thing visitors see when they visit your store while it's password-protected, making it an important tool for building anticipation and collecting email addresses from interested customers.

The Password Page typically consists of an Email Signup Banner section that displays a message, email signup form, and optional background image. This creates a professional coming-soon or pre-launch experience that helps you build your email list and generate excitement for your store launch. Visitors can enter their email address to receive notifications about your store launch, and those with the password can access your store directly.

## Main Section: Email Signup Banner

The Email Signup Banner section displays a customizable banner with a heading, text, and email signup form. This section is designed for password-protected stores and creates an engaging pre-launch or coming-soon experience. You can include a background image, customize the text content, control positioning and alignment, and style the form to match your brand. The section uses blocks that you can add, remove, and customize to create the perfect email collection experience.

### Settings

#### Media

* **Show background image**: When enabled, displays a background image behind the email signup form. This creates a visually appealing backdrop that can help set the tone for your pre-launch message.
* **Background image**: Upload the image you want to display as the background. This image appears behind the email signup form and content, creating a professional and engaging visual experience.
* **Height**: Control how tall the banner section is. Options include Auto (image height adjusts to image proportions), Small (compact banner), Medium (standard height), or Large (tall banner). This affects how much of the background image is visible and how prominent the banner appears.

#### Content

* **Position**: Control where the content appears on the banner on desktop screens. Options include nine positions: Top Left, Top Center, Top Right, Middle Left, Middle Center, Middle Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Center, or Bottom Right. This lets you place the email signup form wherever it looks best with your background image.
* **Alignment**: Control how text and the form are aligned within the content box on desktop screens. Options include Left (content aligned to the left), Center (content centered), or Right (content aligned to the right). This works with the position setting to create the perfect layout.
* **Container**: When enabled, displays the content inside a styled container box with background color. When disabled, content appears directly on the background image without a background box, creating a more minimal look.
* **Colors**: Choose a color scheme for the content container box. This affects the background and text colors of the content area, allowing you to create contrast with the background image. The color scheme is visible when the container is displayed.

#### Mobile layout

* **Alignment**: Control how text and the form are aligned within the content box on mobile devices. Options include Left (content aligned to the left), Center (content centered), or Right (content aligned to the right). This helps create the best mobile reading experience.
* **Stack text below image**: When enabled on mobile, displays the content below the background image instead of overlaid on top. This ensures text and the email form are always readable on mobile devices, especially when images are complex or busy.

### Blocks

* **Heading**: Enter the heading text that appears above the email signup form. The default is "Opening soon" but you can customize it to match your message, such as "Coming Soon" or "We're Launching Soon".
* **Heading size**: Control the size of the heading. Options range from h4 (smallest) to hxxl (extra large) to match your design preferences.

#### Text

This block displays descriptive text below the heading and above the email signup form. Use this to provide more information or create a compelling message.

* **Text**: Enter the text content that appears below the heading. You can use rich text formatting to add emphasis, links, or styling. The default is "Be the first to know when we launch." but you can customize it to match your brand voice.
* **Style**: Choose the text style. Options include Body (standard body text style) or Subtitle (larger, more prominent subtitle style). This controls how the text appears visually.

### Tips

* Use a compelling heading that clearly communicates your message. Headings like "Opening Soon" or "We're Launching Soon" work well, but you can customize it to match your brand voice.
* Include descriptive text that explains the value of signing up. Let visitors know what they'll receive, when they'll be notified, or why they should be excited about your launch.
* Use a high-quality background image that represents your brand or products. The image should be clear, well-lit, and create excitement about your upcoming launch.
* Use the color scheme to create contrast with your background image. A well-chosen color scheme ensures text and the email form are always visible and readable.
* Keep the message concise and focused. Visitors should quickly understand what you're offering and why they should sign up.
* Link social accounts in Theme settings so icons appear in the footer.
