# Rich Text

The Rich text block lets you add formatted text content with titles, paragraphs, lists, links, and other formatting options. This is perfect for adding detailed descriptions, instructions, or any text content that needs formatting. You can either write your content directly in the text field or pull content from a custom page you've created in your Shopify admin. This gives you flexibility to manage your content either directly in the theme editor or through reusable pages.

### How to set it up

1. Go to **Online Store** > **Themes** > **Customize**.
2. Navigate to the section where you want to add the button (like **Image with text**, **Media banner**, or **Popup**).&#x20;
3. Click **Add block** and select **Rich Text**.
4. Make your changes, preview live, then click **Save**.

### Settings

* **Custom page**: If you select a page, the content of the page will be displayed instead of the text field. To show the text field, leave the page field empty. This is useful when you want to reuse content across multiple sections or manage your content in the Shopify Pages section.
* **Custom text**: Enter your formatted text content here. You can use the rich text editor to add titles, paragraphs, bold text, italic text, lists, links, and more. This content will be displayed if you haven't selected a custom page above.

### Tips

* Use the custom page option when you have content that you want to reuse in multiple places or when you prefer managing content in the Shopify Pages section.&#x20;
* The custom text field is perfect for one-off content that's specific to a particular section.&#x20;
* You can format your text with headings, bold, italic, lists, and links to make it more readable and engaging.&#x20;
* If you select both a page and enter custom text, the page content will take priority and the custom text will be hidden.
