# Video

The Video section lets you add a high-quality video with a cover image and a play button. It’s ideal for product demos, brand stories, and hero moments that grab attention.

### How to set it up

1. Go to **Online Store** > **Themes** > **Customize**.
2. Open **Sections** > **Video**.
3. Make your changes, preview live, then click **Save**.

### Settings

#### Heading

* **Heading text**: Title displayed above the video.
* **Heading size**: Controls how large the title appears.
* **Underline**: Adds an underline to the title.
* **Header text position**: Aligns the title left, center, or right.

#### Layout

* **Full width**: Stretches the section edge to edge.
* **Aspect ratio**: Sets the video frame shape (Adapt to video, Portrait, Landscape, Tall, Square).
* **Enable custom border**: Lets you customize borders for the video frame.
* **Border radius**: Rounds the corners of the video frame.
* **Border width**: Sets the thickness of the video frame border.
* **Overlay color**: Color overlay on the cover image.
* **Overlay** **opacity**: Transparency of the overlay.

#### Video settings

* **Hosted video**: Upload a video file to Shopify.
* **URL**: Use a YouTube or Vimeo link instead of a hosted video.

If you select an **url** **source video** and a **hosted video**, the **hosted video** will be displayed instead of the **url source video**.

* **Cover image**: Image shown before the video plays (works for **url** **source video)**.
* **Video alt text**: Short description for accessibility and SEO.
* **Loop video**: Restarts the video automatically when it ends.
* **Mute video**: Starts the video without sound.

#### Padding

* **Top**: Space above the section.
* **Bottom**: Space below the section.

### Tips

* Use a clear Cover image with minimal text for a clean play overlay.
* Keep videos short and compress them for fast loading.
* If using YouTube or Vimeo, set a custom Cover image to control the look.
* Add a brief, benefit-led Heading text to guide attention.
