**How to set it up**

* Go to **Online Store** > **Themes** > **Customize**.
* Open **Theme settings** > **Page loader**.
* Make your changes, preview live, then click **Save**.
  {% endhint %}

The page loader displays a branded loading screen on the visitor's first page load. It shows your store logo (or store name if no logo is set) with a smooth animation, then transitions out to reveal the page content. It only appears once per browsing session.

#### Settings

* **Enable page loader**: Turns the loading screen on or off.
* **Preview mode**: Keeps the loader visible in the theme editor so you can style it without having to reload. Make sure to disable this before publishing.
* **Animation style**: Sets the animation played on the logo while the page loads.
  * **Logo pulse** — Logo gently pulses in and out.
  * **Logo shimmer** — A light sweep effect across the logo.
  * **Logo + progress bar** — Logo with an animated loading bar underneath.
* **Exit animation**: How the loader disappears once the page is ready.
  * **Fade out** — The loader fades to transparent.
  * **Curtain reveal** — The loader slides up while the page content rises into place.
* **Color scheme**: Applies a color scheme to the loader background and text.
* **Logo size**: Controls the logo width on the loading screen (50–600px).
* **Minimum display time**: Sets how long the loader stays visible at minimum, even if the page loads faster (300–2000ms).

#### Tips

The page loader works best as a subtle brand moment — keep the minimum display time short (around 800ms) so it doesn't slow down the experience. Use Preview mode while adjusting colors and animation, then turn it off before going live. If your store has no logo uploaded, the loader will display your store name in the heading font instead.
